Oldest Bakery In Seoul Taeguk Dang
I was so excited to visit one of the popular bakery in Seoul.

When you enter, you can see lots of breads and cookies
ready to be sold in the showcase.

It was interesting for younger generation like us to see how the packaging was antique and old.

Personally, the packaging was not delicate but it was a good chance to look back how package design was looked on 1950s.

This is one of the most popular menu in Tae guk dang bakery.

Monaka ice cream.

There are two kinds of monaka ice cream

One with original style milk ice cream

and one with layer of glutinous rice cake.

The prirce of these ice cream are 2000won and 2500won.

We ordered piece of pecan pie,

a yellow mont blanc with whipped cream on the top,

and a hani citron.

For my personal taste, all desserts in Taeguk Dang is not sweet compare to other bakeries.

But still it was a good chance to visit once in a lifetime.

Me and my friend went to garosugil for shopping today.

We met in cafe called Mug For Rabbit to have some coffee first

before we start to move busy.

This is a drink that I ordered.
It was sweet milk tea and it was so good!

Yes, you can also buy Korean Ramen in large markets if you are in U.S or Asia, but you can purchase them in much more cheaper price in Korea, with many different flavors to choose.
80% of Korean ramen has hot flavor and other 20 percents are mild. Standard ramen recipes / directions are at the back of the package and It is up to you to add egg or not.

2. Gim (Gimme) – Dried Seaweed

Its a ractangle shape dried seaweed usually to eat with rice. It is a most common dish for every meal for Koreans, just like Kimchi. If you like Kimchi, recommend to have with Kimchi too but if not, try them out with pice of avocado.
There are in small and large packages with unsalted and salted flavors so you can choose your best choice as you need.

Socks are one of the best gift to purchase for your friends with limited budget and limited baggage space. Each pair of socks cost 500won ($0.50) ~ 1000 won ( $1) and they are many of cute& crazy design to choose, plus with sill good quality.

Myeong Dong

Dong Dae Mun

This place is the mecca of Korean Fashion! Most of the small fashion and accessory retail stores you found on the streets are mostly all from the Dongdeamun merchandise wholesale. Dongdaemun is cheap, but you can’t tell it is always the cheapest place because, the price of same items that you can find in DongDaeMun are different by each shops. Even Koreans do bargain if they go shopping to Dongdaemun. Remember, Dongdaemun is a night market so go there after 9 PM to enjoy the night!

Hongdae is a university town where you can see artistic people busking on the street every day. Hongdae is one of the top universities in Korea in art & design.
